Amazon’s Kindle sales are Up
According to Citigroup the electronic Kindle from Amazon is selling better than expected and could double a previous estimate for units sold this year. Analyst Mark Mahaney continues to mark the company as a “Buy” and feels that it may turn out like the ipod for books.
He estimates that 380,000 Kindles will sell in 2008, up from a forecast of 190,000. He also expects that Kindle and related revenue will be more than $1 billion by 2010.
Our friends at Valleywag found an actual Kindle user thanks to Silicon Alley Insider. I know these sightings are rare but it looks as if this technology is beginning to take-off. If you are interested in setting up your book as an e-book, feel free to call BRIO and discuss how to get started.
Have a great day!
